Scott Erickson
Principal
Mr. Erickson is an experienced and goal-oriented executive in Information Technology with a demonstrated track record of success in project and P&L management. He has expertise in driving efficiency and productivity through evaluation and implementation of systems and process improvements. He is a talented leader, having directed highly skilled financial and technical teams to support achievement of overall corporate goals and objectives.
Representative Accomplishments
- Healthcare Information Technology
- Chair of Enterprise eHealth Steering Committee responsible for approximately $10mm in IT capital expenditure
- Chair of the project committee for enterprise upgrade of Centricity EMR 2005 to Centricity EMR Titan (9.0)
- Architected LAN/WAN and Citrix environments to support Centricity EMR implementation for 250 concurrent users
- Architected eHealth integration solution between all internal healthcare applications as well as external, 3rd party providers and hospital systems
Executive IT Accomplishments
- Established enterprise strategy for IT consistent with shifting enterprise strategic objectives and cascaded the strategy in to team and individual goals and objectives
- Responsible for all software application development and infrastructure operations as well as strategic, long-term vision for enterprise technologies including ERP systems, data analytics, and electronic healthcare platforms as well as security and availability
- Responsible for restructuring plan that resulted in the reduction of approximately $15mm (50% reduction) in total IT expenditure across the enterprise including several dozen position eliminations
- Prepared and delivered presentations to non-profit community boards explaining details of enterprise IT costs and securing ongoing support for the forward-looking department budget
- Negotiated enterprise agreement with Oracle for the purchase of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system while exceeding budget expectations for discount off list pricing
- Technical Experiences
- Standardized on a software development lifecycle methodology and solutions framework that were consistent with the organization’s existing operational framework
- Implemented enterprise application integration strategy which delivered scalability and stability through managed code while improving error handling and resolution times
- Commenced long-term implementation for enterprise data analytics focused on offloading reporting data from transactional systems into dimensional data marts to facilitate building of enterprise data cubes
- Designed enterprise network architecture to deliver “medical-grade” availability so that critical healthcare systems continue functioning even when outages occur
- Designed tier 3 enterprise datacenter facility to house centralized technology assets
- Architected the enterprise business continuity plan and maintained responsibility for testing and recovery drills
- Responsible for the enterprise IT security program including perimeter firewall, intrusion prevention and endpoint security
- Designed turn-key branch office technology setup to minimize total cost of ownership with file and print, domain, email, and backup services
- Responsible for architecture, design and implementation of a database solution in support of American Express’ global consulting services group’s engagements with multinational clients for reductions and discounts in their enterprise travel programs
Marketing and Finance Executive Experience
- Responsible for more than $30mm annual advertising program including seventy-five employees comprising the company’s internal advertising agency
- Restructured decentralized advertising functions into centralized groups providing cost savings from more efficient job processing, media buying and production
- Oversaw the selection and integration process for company’s first partnership with an external advertising agency
- Responsible for selection and management of restructuring advisor and independent counsel for restructuring of more than $1.5bn in senior and subordinated debt
- Executive member of restructuring committee through 2-year restructuring process that culminated in a prepackaged bankruptcy filing under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code
Background
Prior to Mr. Erickson’s role at Sage Growth Partners, he was employed by Erickson Retirement Communities. In his time at Erickson, he served as Manager of Network Administration, Chief Technology Officer, VP of Advertising, VP of Finance, and most recently, Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he was an IT professional for American Express.
Mr. Erickson received his Bachelor’s of Engineering in Computer Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Master’s in Business Administration with a major in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
