David Kovel
Chief Information Officer
David Kovel is a respected health care technology and operations leader with deep expertise in the areas of technology architecture, information systems planning, strategic deployment of information technology, operational and business process improvement, application development and implementation, business sourcing services integration, organization development and change management.
A seasoned health care technology practitioner, Mr. Kovel has served as a senior executive for a number of health care and related organizations. He has acted as the interim CIO and senior technology leader for a number of SGP clients.
As a health care domain expert, Mr. Kovel blends an ability to see the big picture while maintaining his passion for the tactical details that ensure programmatic success.
Mr. Kovel earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and holds a Master of Information Systems Management from UMBC. He is a Certified Professional in Health Care Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) and serves on the technology faculty at the Carey Business School of the Johns Hopkins University, teaching Carey MBA students.
