MedChi Honors Sage Growth Partners With Distinguished Authorship Award

Baltimore, MDNovember 14, 2011 – Sage Growth Partners President and CEO Don McDaniel and VP of Strategy Dan D’Orazio received the Dr. Henry P. and M. Page Laughlin 2011 Distinguished Authorship Award from MedChi at their annual House of Delegates meeting in Frederick, Maryland.

The award, presented in recognition of two articles co-authored by the Sage Growth executives, cited McDaniel and D’Orazio for their contributions of expertise and insight.

The articles, U.S. Health Care: In Need of an Industrial Revolution? and Is the Sun Setting on the Private Practice of Medicine in Maryland?, described and analyzed health care market conditions in Maryland.  Both were published in Maryland Medicine, MedChi’s quarterly magazine.

“We are honored that MedChi has selected us for this award,” said McDaniel.  “These articles provided us with a unique opportunity to advance the kind of market analysis that challenges the way we view the business of health care in Maryland.”
